Launched in 2003 by the Directors-General of FAO and WHO, the Trust Fund allocates resources to help developing countries and countries in transition to increase their participation in the work of the Codex Alimentarius Commission.
The Fund's main objective is to help developing countries and those with economies in transition to increase their level of effective participation in the development of global food safety standards in Codex Alimentarius.
The Trust Fund seeks funding from national governments, multilateral organizations, private foundations and trusts which do not constitute a conflict of interest associated with the work to be conducted. Financial support covers travel, accommodation and incidental expenses based on the WHO employee travel allowance. Below, you will find further information and documents related to the Trust Fund.
